The promote section of your event will allow you access and manage our built-in promotion tools. The article, will provide an overview to help you navigate your Promote page.
2. Select the 'Promote' option from the menu down the left side of your page. Once selected, additional settings will appear below:
a. Promote Overview: This page will allow you to easily copy your custom URL, open in a new window, change your event privacy to between public/hidden as needed and connect your social networks (Facebook, Google+, and Twitter) so your connections and their friends can discover your events.
b. Invitations: This page allows you to send invitations to potential attendees. Link up your Twitter or upload email contacts to reach a wide audience. You can also send invitations to your contacts on Universe.
c. Publisher Network: Set whether or not you'd like your event to show in Universe's event directory and our partner websites. Use the dropdown menu to select your preference. This is on by default for public events and off by default for private events. Note that your event will always be visible to people who have the link.
d. SEO: Add tags or key words to your event to improve the search engine optimization for your event page. This helps your page appear higher in search results.
e. Affiliate Tracking: From the affiliate tracking page, you can set up referral tracking links to track sales purchased from a specific source or promoter. Codes can be added individually or in bulk from a csv.
f. Social Deals: The social deals promotion tool allows you to encourage people to share your event on Twitter or Google+ by offering a discount in exchange for social media posts about the event (social deals).
